This tour takes you through the eruption area of the Volcano´s Fimmvorduhals & Eyjafjalljokull. We show you where it all began in the middle of March 2010. Show you the areas where the ash fell, and volcanic mud came down the side of the mountain burying farmlands in thick ash mixed mud.
On the way, we also explore some of the sights on the southern part of the Island, the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss. We also drive in towards the valley of Thorsmork visiting the glacier snout Gigjokull, where the floodwatwers came from the eruption. We also take a hike into the canyon Stakkholtsgja, where petrified Trolls guard the entrance to a secret cave. The perfect ending to an informative, fun filled day.
